Welcome to Holy Trinity Hurstpierpoint. Our parish is in West Sussex in the Diocese of Chichester.
Our Priest-in-Charge, the Reverend Jane Willis, arrived in October 2014, after the parish had been in vacancy for a year and a half. The Rectory phone number is 01273 832203.
Hurstpierpoint is a vibrant, lively community of more than 5,000 people bordering on the South Downs National Park, within ten miles of Brighton and situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The church is the focus of many community activities including the Remembrance Day service attended by 500-600 people, Harvest Festival, the annual Hurst Festival, and performances and concerts by children from local schools.
The church was designed by Sir Charles Barry, the architect of the Palace of Westminster and completed in 1845. It was built on the site of the Norman St Lawrence Church to seat over 700 people.
The interior was completely reordered in 2012-13 and now includes meeting rooms, a small kitchen/server, toilets and disabled access. This allows for a much fuller use by many community groups, including Hurst Festival, as well as all our church based organisations.
The office, in the Rectory Basement, is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 0930 to 1230. The phone number is 01273 835109.
We hope you enjoy browsing our website, and we would encourage you to view our Safeguarding Policy here.
Sunday services will be:
8:00am Eucharist (said)
9:45am Parish Eucharist (choral)
Other services will be announced in the Parish Magazine and on notices.
Please contact the Priest-in-Charge to discuss baptisms, marriages and funerals.
We hope that the church will become a focus for community activity. As a start, we shall hold a monthly Saturday morning gathering with coffee, cakes and the occasional bring and buy sale. All are welcome.
We are warmly inviting everyone to our monthly coffee mornings in our beautifully reordered church. Each coffee morning, from 10-12am, will have a special monthly theme or event, so that visitors can have extra things to look at or be entertained by, whilst enjoying coffee and cakes. And this is also an ideal opportunity to look round all the changes that have taken place in our church over the past months - well worth a look!

Tickets are £5. Concerts will last for 1½ hours including a drinks interval in the Festival tradition, allowing you to continue to other social events afterwards!
